Concussion Head Band

Effective January 17, 2014, the OHSAA has approved two items to be worn by basketball players in grades 7-12 designed as protective headgear. These two items are:
- The “Full 90” headgear often worn by soccer players, and,
- Any soft (not hard or unyielding) material headband designed as a ‘concussion headband’ (see example below)
Any other item will still need individual approval by the OHSAA.
